Lung Cancer

The Lung Cancer Initiative (LCI) for Metropolitan Chicago was launched in April 2005 in response to the enormous impact that lung cancer has on our communities. The LCI is a partnership between medical institutions, not for profit health and advocacy organizations, support organizations, advocates and those affected by lung cancer. An Advisory Council helps guide and support the activities. The LCI seeks to increase:

  • educational opportunities on lung cancer for patients, family members and medical and public health professionals,
  • support services for lung cancer patients and their families,
  • awareness about recent advances in research, and the clinical research studies available,
  • advocacy on lung cancer issues.
