Chicago Respiratory Society


For over twenty years, the Chicago Respiratory Society has been a leader and advocate for health care professionals concerned about respiratory care.

The purpose of the Chicago Respiratory Society is:

  • To foster the development and dissemination of the scientific foundations of respiratory disease through meritorious research and professional education.
  • To promote the highest standards of patient care and serve as an advocate for patients with respiratory disease.
  • To serve and assist the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago, as its medical section, in all its affairs.
  • To provide leadership and assistance to physicians and medical professionals engaged in the practice of treating patients with respiratory disease.2009

 

American Thoracic Society International Conference
May 15-20, 2009 | San Diego, California

At ATS 2009 in San Diego, more than 400 sessions will provide a comprehensive review of the latest information on the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory, critical care and sleep disorders. In addition, more than 5,500 original research abstracts will be presented, giving attendees new perspectives on the clinical, basic science and translational discoveries that will shape the future of adult and pediatric respiratory care. Among the many topics to be covered are asthma, COPD, lung cancer, obstructive sleep apnea, pulmonary hypertension, cystic fibrosis, ARDS, and sarcoidosis.
