One year later business booming after statewide smoking ban

It has been one year since many businesses in the state of Indiana went smoke free. Some were fearful the new law would impact business.

One business with a big concern was Richards Restaurant in Columbia City. For years it had both smoking and non-smoking sections. Smokers NewsChannel 15 talked with there were not happy.

"Well it's freedom of choice, they're taking it away from us. What's next? Probably won't be able to chew gum after awhile," smoker Harold Waldeck said.

NewsChannel checked in with Richards Restaurant on the one year anniversary of the statewide smoking ban. Manager Karen Schnorr said the ban has helped everyone's sales. Read more.
