Nursing Assembly

Nursing Assembly is a professional nursing society devoted to providing quality respiratory health to the community. 

Nursing Assembly members provide guidance to and support Respiratory Health Association’s lung health initiatives. Nursing Assembly organizes important continuing education opportunities for nurses and awards scholarships for master’s level nurses interested in the pulmonary field.

Nursing Assembly members include registered nurses, advanced practice nurses and professors of nursing.

Specifically, Nursing Assembly:

• Participates in health policy advocacy and RHAMC’s lung health programs and initiatives.
• Maintains professional integrity by hosting educational activities, such as the Certified Asthma Educator Exam: A Preparatory Course and Catch Your Breath: Women and Lung Health Conference for nurses and other healthcare professionals. 
• Collaborates with Chicago Respiratory Society on an annual Scientific Lecture Series.
• Provides leadership and assistance to nurses and other health professionals engaged in the practice of treating patients with respiratory disease.
• Promotes the practice of pulmonary nursing by awarding scholarships for master’s level nurses, in collaboration with ARDS Foundation.
