Congratulations, Erin Mickelson!

Congratulations to the 2010 Marybeth Monaghen/ ARDS Foundation/ NA/ RHAMC Graduate Advanced Practice Nursing Scholarship recipient Erin Mickelson. Erin currently attends George Washington University where she is pursuing an Adult Nurse Practitioner Degree. The Scholarship, created in 2008, supports the advanced educational pursuits of nursing practitioners that care for and treat patients with respiratory disease.  

About the scholarship

The Marybeth Monaghen/ARDS Foundation/NA/RHAMC Graduate Advanced Practice Nursing Scholarship is named in honor of Marybeth Monaghen who passed away because of ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome) in August 1998. She was a registered nurse, a daughter, a sister and a friend. This scholarship is to support the advanced educational pursuits of nursing practitioners that care for and treat patients with respiratory disease.

2009 recipients

Richard Baker. Richard is pursuing a Master of Science from Franciscan Skemp Healthcare: School of Nurse Anesthesia from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Margaret Corr. Margaret currently attends University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing and is pursuing the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree.
