Living Better Together is for people with COPD and their families, friends and caretakers. The conference's goal is to promote disease awareness and to empower people who are living with COPD to become educated consumers of health care, as well as effective disease self-managers.

Hundreds of participants attend each year and enjoy speakers, breakout sessions and exhibits, each of which provide educational resources and tips for living well with COPD. At the 2016 Living Better Together COPD Conference, you will receive information about:

        • the importance of early detection and disease awareness
        • current treatments and interventions for COPD
        • positive living practices that promote self-management of COPD
        • resources available for people with COPD and their caregivers.

MORNING SESSIONS

(Participants attend one morning session)

     Session 1: New Developments in COPD Medicine
     Learn more about current medications and treatment options
 
     Session 2: Getting around with COPD
     Learn how to be better prepared when traveling near or far with COPD
 
     Session 3: Getting back to Pulmonary Rehabilitation
     Learn more about maximizing the use of physical therapy

AFTERNOON SESSIONS

     Session 4: Indoor Air Quality & Your Health
     Learn more about triggers in the home and how to reduce them
 
     Session 5: Improve Your Nutrition for Better COPD Management
     Learn more about the importance of proper nutrition when living with COPD
 
     Session 6: Getting back to Pulmonary Rehabilitation
     Learn more about maximizing the use of physical therapy
