Living Better Together COPD Conference
The 13th Annual Living Better Together COPD Conference Is a Total Success
Thanks to all of you who attended our 2016 Living Better Together COPD Conference on Thursday, November 17, 2016. We're delighted so many of you came together to learn about COPD and strategies for living better together with this chronic illness. For those of you who did not attend, we are pleased to share with you that nearly 300 participants attended this year's conference. Click here to view a photo album from the 2016 event.
Attendees included individuals living with COPD, their caregivers, and pulmonary rehabilitation staff. Many traveled by bus with their pulmonary rehabilitation groups from locations throughout Chicagoland and as far as Rockford and Peru, Illinois. Guests were provided supplemental oxygen donated by our generous sponsor, Health Care Solutions Group, Inc.
The event began with a Moderated Keynote Session titled "COPD Care...A panel discussion on how to navigate the current healthcare system." Panelists included Ravi Kalhan, MD (Northwestern Medicine), Dorothy Shapiro, DNP, ACNP-BC, COPD APN (Suburban Lung Associates) and Kim French, MHSA (Suburban Lung Associates).
