General Donations

Your contributions support our work throughout metropolitan Chicago on behalf of people and families living with lung diseases including lung cancer, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and more.

Respiratory Health Association partners with other organizations to keep our administrative costs low and our impact for lung health as high as possible.

For example, in 2009 we co-funded the Lung Cancer Promise of Tomorrow Award with nine other organizations. Each organization contributed equal amounts in order to present an award totaling $100,000 to Dr. Navdeep Chandel of Northwestern University.

And, we minimize fundraising costs by participating as the "charity beneficiary" of events such as First Look for Charity at the Chicago Auto Show and Chill: An International Wine and Culinary Event at the Merchandise Mart. Through these events, we incur minimal expenses while benefiting from ticket proceeds and additional revenues from silent auctions, raffles and the like.
