Courage to Quit Program Leaders
Courage to Quit® is an adult smoking cessation program that is consistent with evidence-based smoking treatments and can be delivered in multiple settings. Courage to Quit is led by health educators, community health workers, social workers and other health professionals who have completed our one day training workshop. If you are looking to gain the knowledge and skills to assist people who are interested in quitting smoking, join one of our training workshops! The full day training will prepare you to lead a group or one-on-one Courage to Quit program and covers:
- tobacco cessation in detail
- nicotine addiction
- behavior change
- strategies and best practices for tobacco dependence treatment (including medications)
- program planning and implementation
- learning styles and facilitation skills.
