Asthma Management

Asthma Management is a free, 1-hour program that educates anyone who is a caregiver for a person who has asthma. The program covers:

  • early warning signs of asthma
  • common asthma triggers
  • how to handle an emergency
  • proper medication use

Asthma Management can be taught to:
  • teachers
  • school staff
  • childcare providers
  • parent groups
  • bus drivers
  • faith-based organizations
  • community groups

Asthma Management requires groups of 25 people or more. This program has been approved by Illinois State Board of Education for one Continuing Professional Development Unit (CPDU) for licensed schoolteachers.
