Asthma Management


Asthma Management is a free, 1-hour program that educates anyone who is a caregivers for a person who has asthma. Asthma Management gives participants the information they need to care for a person who has asthma.

Asthma Management topics include:
  • early warning signs of asthma
  • common asthma triggers
  • how to handle an emergency
  • proper medication use
Asthma Management can be taught to:
  • teachers
  • school staff
  • childcare providers
  • parent groups
  • bus drivers
  • faith-based organizations
  • community groups

Fall 2010 Asthma Programs Training Schedule

Asthma Management requires groups of 25 people or more. This program has been approved by Illinois State Board of Education for one Continuing Professional Development Unit (CPDU) for licensed schoolteachers.
